Universal Studios Resort, sometimes shortened to simply Universal Studios, is a theme park located inside of Orlando, Florida. The park is a joint venture of the Blackstone Group and NBC Universal. The park consists of two unique themed attractions. The main attraction is Universal Studios Florida, and the secondary attraction is Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Seuss Landing is the newest attraction, and is themed based on the Harry Potter books and movies. The new island is scheduled to open in spring 2010.

Universal CityWalk contains a large AMC Universal Cineplex, clubs, shops, and numerous restaurants. In addition, the attraction houses Emeril’s, Hard Rock Live, Hard Rock Café, NASCAR Café, NBA City Café, and Margaritaville. The clubs inside of the CityWalk include Cigarz, Red Coconut, Bob Marley’s, Rising Star, Pat O’Brien’s, The Groove, and the Latin Quarter.

The park features three hotels. Among these are Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, the Hard Rock Hotel, and Loews Royal Pacific Hotel. All of the hotels have been dubbed AAA Four Diamond hotels. The hotels are located extremely near the Universal theme parks. In addition, each hotel offers free transportation to the various areas of the park.
